Ever since hearing the mix CD "Grooverider Alive" (which is audio of an event at the Edge Nightclub in Coventry England), I've been a fan of Raymond Bingham and all the records he has ever played. It was around when UK 'Ardkore, then known as Drum & Bass, started getting interesting again and I once again began collecting these records/5(9).

Grooverider's only album, MYSTERIES OF FUNK, came while he was at the top of the drum'n'bass world, and from "Cybernetic Jazz," you can hear why: the thick beats and deep jazz bass that transforms into tech-step halfway through then back again. Roya Arab's vocals on "Rainbows of Colour" intersects with the beats in an unexpected way, which /5(24).

  4. Jul 15,  · Grooverider was the best hardcore and later jungle DJ. Ever. Too Buzz, Ratty, Bukem, Jack Frost, bryan gee, Randall come close but when Grooverider was on, he far surpassed everyone. Really not feeling what he’s doing now but his work from is just amazing, he really started it all.
